History of the Kellner Scholarship

The Kellner Scholarships are provided by the Kellner Foundation, a private American foundation established by the family of Mr. George A. Kellner, a Hungarian-American entrepreneur and a graduate of Trinity College. The Scholarships were created in 1991 to honor Mr. Paul J. Kellner, the father of Mr. George A. Kellner, a Hungarian-born businessman and a leading supporter of Hungary's political, social and economic development through education.

Since 1991, the Kellner Foundation has enabled over 100 Hungarian students from Eotvos Lorand University (ELTE), Corvinus University of Budapest (BCE), the Budapest University of Technology (BME) and the University of Szeged (SZTE) to study in the United States for two semesters at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut or at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson in upper New York State.
